The Chautauqua Vineyards & Wineries was founded in 1989 and opened its doors to the public in 1990. The wines are made from Cabernet Sauvignon grown on 50-acres of vineyard. You can enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying the vineyard's beautiful scenery, which is also ideal for picnicking. There is ample outdoor seating to enjoy your meal while you're at the winery.
A visit to Chautauqua Vineyards & Wineries will also give you a chance to experience the production process of wine. They have over 70,000 gallons of temperature-controlled stainless steel cooperage and 1,980 gallons of oak barrels for aging. One of the most notable features of the Chautauqua Vineyards, a winery, is its 12,000-liter Europress, custom-built by the Scharfenberger Company of Germany.
The Chautauqua Winery is home to two different locations, both of which produce wine and beer. The first location opened in 1973 in North Eastern Pennsylvania. The wines are made from grapes grown on three acres of vineyards. The selections at the two locations include a dry Pinot Grigio, a semi-dry Gewurztraminer, and a large variety of fruit-based blends.
